The Georgia Joint Election Equipment Specifications and Standards Committee held its organizational meeting on August 7, 2026, and approved the following dates for its next four meetings:
- Thursday, September 3, 2026 — 10:00 a.m., Room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building
- Thursday, September 17, 2026
- Thursday, October 1, 2026
- Thursday, October 15, 2026
The September meetings are expected to include testimony from election officials and experts in areas such as cybersecurity, accessibility, election integrity, safety, and security. The October meetings are expected to focus primarily on election-equipment vendors and the technical capabilities of available systems.
